ACCESS
The property is keyless and is accessed via a numeric security pad on main foyer door, the apartment front door and garage. This code is the same for all entries and is set to allow access from 2pm on your day of arrival until 10am on your day of departure. Just press # at the end for the Main Foyer and Garage. The apartment front door has a small LED screen under the handle, that will be in black. Just touch the black screen and it will light up ready for you to enter the code. Your access code is generated after your bond pre-authorisation is completed. It will then be text to you on your arrival day. Please ensure that we have your correct mobile number.
SECURITY BOND
$500 security deposit is required before your arrival. This is pre-authorized to your credit card and is fully released back to your credit card within 7 days of your departure, providing the property is left clean, undamaged and Terms & Conditions met. This will take you to our website. Click on the ‘Pay Now’ button, which will then take you to Paypal to enter your credit card details. We do NOT store any card details. This bond pre-authorisation is a separate transaction to the rental payment and hence you will need to re-enter your details again for this bond pre-authorisation. All card information is kept secure with Paypal.
Pre-authorization needs to be BEFORE your stay, as there are no check in facilities at the property.
PARKING
The driveway to access the parking is just to the left of the main entrance stairs.
There is a keypad on the right side (drivers side) as you enter the driveway to the garage. This is to open the roller shutter to access the underground parking. The code will be the same code that as the apartment code. You just need to press # at the end for the garage and the Main Foyer.
Once you are underground follow the road to the right and you will see no.7 carspace on the far left next to the wall. I find it easier to continue around to the right again and then reverse into the space.
When exiting the garage, the roller shutter will open automatically as you approach.
There is a lift that accesses the garage. Garage is located on B (Basement) and apartment is located on level 1.
The manuals for all appliances are in the top cupboard above the microwave.
HOTPLATES
As with most ceramic hotplates, there is a safety switch to turn them on or off when not in use. This is located on the right kitchen wall. There are 3 switches on the right wall. These are to turn on the hotplates, light and exhaust fan. Please turn off again when not in use.
DISHDRAWER (Dishwasher)
Located middle bottom cupboard in the kitchen. If using tablets, please don’t place in the dispenser tray, this is for powder or liquid only, just pop the tablets in the cutlery holder or throw on bottom of dishwasher. To start just select your cycle on the drawer and then press the start button (far right arrow). If you need to open the dishwasher after the cycle has commenced, you can’t just open the drawer, as they are different to normal dishwashers. You need to first press pause on the remote control, which is located in the top drawer under the sink, and then you can open the DishDrawer.
If the dishwasher is beeping and you think it may have got confused, then to reset you just need to press the PLAY button (top of dishdrawer) for approx. 5 secs.
BLINDS
The blinds in the main bedroom are fitted with 2 sets. First set is a privacy screen. You can see out but people cannot see in. This is perfect so you can relax in the bedroom whilst still enjoying the view outside. Second blind is a full blockout screen.
GARBAGE ROOM
The garbage room is located to the side of the apartment block on level 1, same level as apartment. When you exit the apartment go to the right (as if heading to the lift), then take the corridor to the left. You will see an exit door in front of you. Exit through this door and you come to a patio with an outdoor shower. Basically look to the left and you will see the garbage room. The exit door will lock when you exit. To re-enter it requires the code that you use for the apartment.

LAUNDRY
The laundry is behind the roller shutter to the left as you enter the apartment. To open the roller shutter, you will notice a switch with up and down arrows on the wall next to the shutter. Press the up arrow ‘once’ to open and down arrow to close.
The washing machine is a front loader washer and dryer. When you open the dispenser drawer there is a hidden pull out grey lever on top, which explains the different symbols and wash cycles, and which sections to place your detergent. Basically the main detergent goes in the larger semi circle section to the right in the tray.
Most basic loads will take a few hours, or there is an express 30 mins cycle.
It will take a few hours to wash and dry a load. You can close the roller shutter whilst washing but please ensure that you turn on the vent inside the laundry section (switch on the left wall) especially if using the dryer with the shutter closed.
To wash and dry, select your wash cycle and then press the ‘drying’ button to confirm which dryer cycle. The ‘Iron’ icon means slightly damp to make ironing easier. The ‘Cupboard’ icon means totally dry to store in cupboard. The other numbers are if you wish to select drying duration rather than automatic. The dryer will take quite a few hours to dry clothing as is a condensed dryer. Therefore I have also placed a foldable clothes line if you wish to air dry your clothing.
HAIRDRYER
Located in the bottom drawer in the bathroom
IRON & IRONING BOARD
Ironing board is located in the wardrobe in the 2nd bedroom. Iron is usually in there also, but sometimes ends up in the laundry on top of the washing machine.
BBQ
We have a Webber Gas BBQ on the Patio.
This will be clean on your arrival. When you depart please ensure this is clean for the next guest. This is an extra cost and time for our cleaners. If it is not clean on departure we will have to charge your Bond for the extra cleaning fee associated. BBQ utensils can be found under the BBQ.
SMOKING
Smoking is NOT permitted inside the apartment. It is allowed outside on the balcony, but the Strata By-Laws state that smoke cannot enter another lot. So try to ensure that the direction you smoke does not allow the smoke to enter another lot. All cigarette butts must be disposed of and not thrown on the ground or in the plants.
HI CHAIR & COT
Stored in the wardrobe of the 2nd bedroom. The cot is a port-a-cot and will be folded into a black canvas bag.

THINGS TO DO IN KIAMA
Kiama is a vibrant seaside town. Kiama Executive is centrally located with an easy walk to the many cafes, restaurants, parks and beaches. Kiama is also well known for it’s lighthouse and next to the lighthouse is the famous blowhole. The best time to see the blowhole is when there is a southeast swell but it can be viewed anytime.
Kiama Farmers Market is held at the park directly across from the apartment,
every Wednesday 3pm – 6pm (during daylight savings time) or 2pm – 5pm (during non-daylight savings time).
